Making a Splash in Japan

Guido Daniele designed, painted, photographed and retouched two images for KOHIO Supermarkets in Japan. Over the course of two days, Guido painted his son's hands allowing for several variations of water and fish before the final images were composited.
Painting hands for commercial and fine art applications has only been limited by Guido's vast imagination. World renown calendar publishers, Orange Circle, recently contracted Guido for a 2013 "Handimals" calendar.

Beer Time

Douglas Fisher masterminded, photographed, retouched and created CGI elements for the new Carlsberg Campaign. In Doug's own words here's a quick overview of how the images were created.

"The first stage was to break down the client visuals into what was going to be shot and created in CG. Yellow was to be shot in the studio and magenta was to be CG. The light blue areas were to be shot as additional location elements and composited in the final image. The next stage was to start some pre-visualisation of the scenes so we had a good idea of what camera angles we needed to shoot in the studio. Also by getting the pre-visualisation done, we could start on the CG build knowing the client was happy with the direction the images was going. Pre-visualisation also meant we could play around with ideas on composition and elements within the shot to see if they were adding anything to the "story". Next came the shoot - once we were happy with the overall direction the visualisation was going in, we could shoot our models in the correct poses with the camera positions already worked out. These shots were then composited into early stage visuals for composition. Further refinement on each image took place until we were happy with the overall composition of the background and foreground.
